His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed, during the opening of the third ordinary session of the twentieth Parliament and delivering the Speech from the Throne, the steadfastness of the Jordanian stance towards the Palestinian cause, stressing that there is no way to achieve security and stability in the region without fulfilling the right of the Palestinian people to their land.

For his part, former MP Khalil Attieh affirmed that His Majesty King Abdullah II’s continuous affirmations of the steadfastness of the Jordanian position towards the Palestinian cause carry a clear political message: that Palestine is not a cause subject to marginalization or compromise, and that security and stability in the region will not be achieved as long as the Israeli occupation continues its aggressive policies, and the Palestinian people remain deprived of their legitimate rights to their land, self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state.

Occupation Policies Exceed Palestine’s Borders and Threaten Regional Stability

Attieh said, in a statement to “Al-Taj News”, that Israel, with its aggressive policies and the policy of its extremist government, has become a direct threat to the security and stability of the region, pointing out that what the Palestinian territories are witnessing—in terms of killing, destruction, settlement, and displacement, alongside settler terrorism against Palestinians and their properties—is no longer just sporadic violations, but a policy aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land and imposing new facts by force.

He added that the most dangerous aspect of these practices is that they take place under Israeli political and security protection, and international silence that encourages persistence and impunity.

The Occupation Government Acts as if It Is Above the Law.. and the Holy Sites Are in the Crosshairs of Violations

Attieh pointed out that the occupation government acts as if it is above international law, defying international legitimacy resolutions, and continuing to violate Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, in disregard of the rules of law and justice, emphasizing that it is unacceptable for these policies to continue without accountability or deterrent sanctions.

The King’s Moves Kept Palestine at the Forefront of International Attention

Regarding the Jordanian role, Attieh confirmed to “Al-Taj” that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, was able to keep the Palestinian cause at the forefront of international attention, through effective diplomatic moves and explicit positions in international forums, and a clear rejection of displacement, annexation, and the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.

No Peace Is Built on Occupation.. and No Security with the Continuation of Rights Confiscation

He noted that the essence of the royal message is represented in that peace cannot be a reward for occupation, nor can it be built on settler terrorism, land confiscation, and the killing of innocent people, stressing that it is not permissible for the Palestinian to remain demanded to prove their right to life on their land, while Israel continues to impose the logic of force.

Attieh concluded his remarks to “Al-Taj” by emphasizing that real security begins with ending the occupation, safeguarding Palestinian rights, and establishing an independent Palestinian state on its national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.
