
Al-Taj News – The Saudi National Center for Meteorology forecast in its weather report for today (Wednesday) heavy thunderstorms, God willing, leading to flash floods and accompanied by hail showers in parts of the Jazan and Asir regions.
Rain in Najran and Al-Baha and the Highlands of Makkah
The center explained that moderate to heavy rain is expected in parts of the Najran and Al-Baha regions, in addition to the highlands of the Makkah region.
The impact of active winds raising dust and sand will also continue in parts of those regions, in addition to parts of the Eastern, Riyadh, Qassim, Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions.
Red Sea Conditions
The report indicated that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly, at speeds ranging between 16 and 34 kilometers per hour.
Wave heights will range between half a meter and one and a half meters, while sea conditions will be light to moderate.
Winds and Waves in the Arabian Gulf
As for the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwesterly to northerly, at speeds ranging between 15 and 38 kilometers per hour.
Wave heights will range between one and two meters, while sea conditions will be light to moderate.
