Israel Threatens Britain with Retaliation if Sanctions Are Imposed

Al-Taj News – Israel warned Britain that it would retaliate against any sanctions after London pledged to reconsider its policy toward Israel in response to violence committed by settlers in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said in a podcast: “If Britain takes action against the State of Israel, the State of Israel will take action against Britain.”

For his part, British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said London will introduce a “comprehensive” package of measures against Israeli settlements in the West Bank in the coming weeks.

The British minister’s remarks came amid escalating violence committed by settlers in the West Bank.
