Deputy King Visits Security Officer Injured in Terrorist Attack

Al-Taj News – The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, visited on Thursday a Public Security officer injured following the terrorist attack that occurred in the capital.

The Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, said on Thursday that initial investigations indicate that the attack targeting a Public Security officer in the capital is a “cowardly terrorist act.”

Al-Momani added that the Prime Minister is following up on the agencies’ handling of this act, stressing the necessity of swiftly uncovering its circumstances and motives, and taking the necessary legal measures against everyone involved.

He affirmed that attacking security personnel while performing their duty is an attack on the prestige of the state and the rule of law, and an attack on every Jordanian man and woman, emphasizing that the government will not tolerate any aggressor or act targeting Jordan and Jordanians.

He said that the security and stability of the nation are above all considerations, and that the state and its institutions are capable of protecting their citizens and residents on its soil, and firmly enforcing the law against anyone who oversteps or assaults.
