Public Security Mourns the Martyrdom of Corporal Jawad Ali Khalaf Al-Salaytah in a Cowardly Terrorist Act

Al-Taj News – The attacking terrorist assaulted the martyr with a sharp tool and injured an officer from one of the patrols during his arrest.

The Public Security Directorate mourned the martyrdom of Corporal Jawad Ali Khalaf Al-Salaytah in a cowardly terrorist act while performing his official duty in the capital, and an officer was also injured.

The media spokesperson clarified the details of the terrorist incident, confirming that at exactly 12:20 PM today, Thursday, an individual on Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Street in the capital ambushed one of the Public Security personnel and attacked him with a sharp tool and stabbed him, which led to an immediate intervention by one of the patrols, whose crew dealt with the terrorist, brought the situation under control, and arrested him.

The media spokesperson continued that the patrol officer in charge sustained an injury to his face as a result of the clash with the terrorist.

The martyr was rushed to the hospital but soon passed away, while the officer was taken to the hospital for treatment and his condition is stable. Security agencies commenced investigations with the terrorist perpetrator of the attack, as initial investigations indicated his intent and planning to carry out the terrorist act against Public Security personnel.

As the Public Security Directorate mourns the martyrdom of Corporal Jawad Ali Khalaf Al-Salaytah, who walked the path of truth and duty in a convoy of homeland martyrs who remained true to what they pledged to God, it prays to God Almighty to encompass him with His vast mercy and to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, alongside the martyrs and the righteous, and to grant patience and solace to the family and colleagues of the deceased.
