Al-Taj News – We are hearing reports today about development team Bit Reactor, which recently released its tactical game Star Wars Zero Company, receiving strong media reception and initially performing well commercially, topping Steam’s best-selling list.
According to reports, the team placed 80% of its employees on unpaid leave and laid off a number of temporary contractors before the game’s launch. An official team spokesperson explained to the media that this difficult decision was made because the team did not know how the game would perform at launch.
Sources indicate that the team, which was established in 2021, had exhausted most of its cash reserves as the game’s launch approached. As a result, a core team of developers was retained to support the game with updates and address technical issues after launch. We will see whether the team will bring its employees back to work if the game continues to perform well in the coming weeks.
