Damascus or Riyadh? Wide Anticipation for Fadel Shaker’s First Concert

Al-Taj News – After many years away from the stage, Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker is nearing a return to the music scene and to the public, amid wide anticipation over which Arab capital will witness his first return to audiences.

While the latest information circulating indicates that the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is the leading candidate for his first stop, Damascus had previously entered the speculation after an official Syrian invitation emerged for the artist to perform a concert there, making the destination of his comeback a matter of debate.

The Syrian destination gained momentum after Mazen Al-Natour, head of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, announced that he had contacted Fadel Shaker and invited him to visit Syria and hold a concert there, noting that the date of the concert has not yet been finalized.

Meanwhile, press reports indicate that Riyadh has currently become the confirmed destination, through a public concert to be held next October as part of a tour across Saudi Arabia that includes other cities besides the capital.

The latest information indicates that Fadel Shaker’s return may not be limited to a single capital, as sources close to him revealed that there are offers to hold concerts in several other Arab countries, including Egypt, Qatar, Morocco, Kuwait, Tunisia, and the Sultanate of Oman.
