Al-Taj News – More than 7 million Israeli voters head to the ballot boxes today, Tuesday, to elect 120 members of the Knesset, amid fierce competition and regional and international anticipation of the election results.
A total of 37 electoral lists representing various parties and alliances are competing for seats in parliament, while the main contest is focused on current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former army chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot, amid the failure of previous polls to determine whether either of them can secure the required majority of 61 seats.
The election results are attracting widespread attention, particularly regarding their potential repercussions for the fronts of the wars and attacks launched by Israel since October 7, 2023, in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.
