Artists Syndicate Discusses with Deputy Prime Minister Facilitating Investment in Its Land in New Amman
Al-Taj News – Jordanian Artists Syndicate President Dr. Hani Al-Jarrah, accompanied by colleagues Mohammad Al-Marashdeh, Chairman of the Drama Professions Committee, and Rami Shafeeq, Chairman of the Music Professions Committee, visited Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Eng. Walid Al-Masri on Tuesday to discuss a number of issues related to the syndicate’s affairs and ways to facilitate its transactions and procedures with the relevant authorities.
The meeting addressed the steps needed to enable the syndicate to make optimal use of its properties, particularly the plot of land it owns in a strategic location near Al-Mia Street. They also discussed the possibility of subdividing and developing the land into plots of suitable sizes that syndicate members could benefit from, or investing it through other means that would benefit the syndicate and its members, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The syndicate delegation emphasized that developing and investing in the land represents an important step toward strengthening the syndicate’s resources, enabling it to expand its social and professional services, and establishing sustainable projects that contribute to supporting Jordanian artists and improving the living conditions of members of the General Assembly.
Al-Masri expressed great cooperation and interest in the demands raised by the delegation, directing the relevant authorities and departments to study the matter, follow up on the necessary procedures, and provide possible facilitation within the applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
During the meeting, Al-Masri affirmed his appreciation for the role played by Jordanian artists throughout the history of the state, as an essential partner in building national awareness and consolidating Jordanian cultural identity, and for their influential contributions through song, music, drama, theater, and all other forms of artistic creativity.
