King Meets Iraqi Prime Minister in New York

Al-Taj News – His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on Tuesday evening in New York, on the sidelines of his participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields, particularly in the energy, economic, and investment sectors, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the peoples of Iraq and Jordan.

The meeting also discussed developments in the region, with an emphasis on the importance of working to support peaceful efforts in order to avert the threat of war and conflicts and their negative effects at the regional and international levels.
