
Al-Taj News – The supervisory committees for the 2026 elections of the boards of directors of chambers of commerce and the elections of representatives of commercial sectors took the legal oath before members of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission.
Following their taking of the legal oath, the supervisory committees will undertake a number of tasks, most notably reviewing the lists of registered commercial establishments that are eligible to vote, approving them, and announcing them at the relevant chamber of commerce.
The committees’ duties also include reviewing applications for candidacy for membership in the boards of directors of chambers of commerce, as well as applications for candidacy as representatives of commercial sectors.
The Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission had set Saturday, December 5, 2026, as the date for voting in the elections of the boards of directors of chambers of commerce and the elections of representatives of commercial sectors, totaling 16 chambers of commerce and representatives of 10 commercial sectors.
In the event that the quorum is not met, the Commission has set December 12, 2026, as the date for voting.
