Ministry of Youth Carries Out Partial Maintenance Work on the Pitch of Amman International Stadium During League Break

Al-Taj News – Technical teams at Al Hussein Youth City have begun carrying out partial maintenance work on the pitch of Amman International Stadium in Al Hussein Youth City, taking advantage of the break in the professional football league to repair damaged areas and replace them with new natural grass.

Minister of Youth Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, accompanied by the Ministry’s Secretary-General Dr. Mazen Abu Baqer and Director of Al Hussein Youth City Raed Mirza, inspected the maintenance work yesterday, Monday, during a tour of the site to directly oversee the progress of the work and review the completion rates.

During the tour, Al-Adwan stressed the need to complete the required maintenance work, adhere to the specified timeline, and apply the highest technical standards to ensure the readiness of the pitch to host upcoming local and international tournaments.

The maintenance work, carried out by the Agriculture Section of the Ministry’s Maintenance and Operations Directorate, includes replacing approximately 200 square meters of areas that have deteriorated due to the pressure of matches. The damaged grass will be completely removed, and the soil will be rehabilitated and technically prepared before the installation of new rolls of grass in accordance with the required technical specifications.
