Boxer Hudhaifa Ashish Qualifies for the Quarterfinals of the 2026 Nagoya Games

Al-Taj News – Jordanian national boxing team player Hudhaifa Ashish qualified on Tuesday for the quarterfinals of the boxing competitions at the Asian Games being hosted by the Japanese city of Nagoya.

Ashish defeated Laos’ Vanesy Huangthisouan in the round of 16 after the referee stopped the bout in the first round, in the under-55 kg category, qualifying to face Chinese Taipei’s Peng Chia-Feng.

The boxing team’s participation continues on Wednesday, with Hussein Ashish facing Kyrgyzstan’s Omurbek Bekjigit Uulu in the under-80 kg category in the round of 16.

Mohammad Abu Jaja will also face Bhutan’s Kinley in the round of 16 in the under-60 kg category.

Boxing at the Nagoya Asian Games features the participation of 33 countries, with the competitions continuing until the 2nd of next month.
