Jordanian Jud Al-Drous Wins Karate Silver at Nagoya 2026 Asian Games

Jordanian national karate team player Jud Al-Drous won the silver medal on Monday in the under-68kg category at the 2026 Asian Games, being held in the Japanese city of Nagoya.

National team player Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa had earlier won the bronze medal in the under-67kg category after defeating Palestinian player Mahmoud Dhaifallah 4-0 in the third-place bout, giving Jordan its first medal of the Games.

The national karate team looks to continue its strong performances in various competitions and reaffirm its notable presence at the Asian Games. Jordanian karate has previously won 14 medals throughout its participation in the Games, including one gold, four silver, and nine bronze medals.

At the previous edition, hosted by the Chinese city of Hangzhou in 2023, the national team won five medals, including two silver medals through Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa and Hassan Masarwa, and three bronze medals through Mohammed Al-Jaafari, Abdullah Hammad, and Jud Al-Drous.
