Thrilling Comeback: Al-Hussein Irbid Snatch Draw Against East Bengal in AFC Champions League 2

Al-Taj News – Al-Hussein Irbid snatched a thrilling draw against East Bengal in the final minutes of their match in the AFC Champions League 2, as the Jordanian side mounted a strong comeback and held on for a draw until the final whistle.

Al-Hussein Irbid drew 2-2 with Indian visitors East Bengal in the match played Wednesday evening at Amman International Stadium in the opening fixture of Group D.

East Bengal managed to finish the first half with a two-goal lead, with Ramires scoring in the 10th minute and Anwar Ali in the 40th minute, before Al-Hussein Irbid equalized through Mahmoud Al-Mardi in the 60th minute and Ahmad Assaf in the 87th minute.

Both Al-Hussein Irbid and East Bengal moved to one point.

Later tonight, a strong Group C encounter will take place between Al-Faisaly and Qatar’s Al-Rayyan.
