
Al-Taj News – Barcelona secured a resounding 7-2 victory over visitors Racing Santander in a match played at Camp Nou in the sixth round of the Spanish La Liga season.
João Cancelo opened the scoring for Barcelona in the eighth minute, before Raphinha added the second from a penalty in the 25th minute. Racing Santander pulled one back through Majeed Ghoi in the 30th minute.
Barcelona extended their lead with an own goal by Álex Villalibre in the 36th minute, before Raphinha scored his second in the 42nd minute, while Lamine Yamal missed a penalty in the 45th minute.
In the second half, Raphinha returned to score his third goal of the match and Barcelona’s fifth from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, before Gabriel Jesus added the sixth in the 79th minute. Lamine Yamal completed the seven-goal haul in the 89th minute, while Yasser Al-Zaibari scored Racing’s second goal in the 65th minute.
Barcelona moved to 18 points at the top of the Spanish league standings, maintaining a perfect record from six matches without a defeat, while Racing Santander remained on seven points in 10th place.
