Al-Taj News – The Iranian Foreign Ministry said Friday that the new U.S. economic measures against Tehran amount to “state terrorism,” describing them as illegal and reprehensible.
In a statement, it added that the U.S. economic campaign represents a harsh tool designed to inflict pain and suffering on Iranians, stressing that U.S. sanctions place the health and livelihoods of millions of civilians at serious risk.
It affirmed that the U.S. economic measures amount to an international crime and a crime against humanity.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the new U.S. policy requires the international community, including United Nations bodies, to take action to uphold the rule of law.
Iran urged countries to refrain from implementing U.S. sanctions.
It affirmed that Tehran is determined to use all its capabilities to defend the country in the face of the U.S.-Israeli military and economic attack.
