
Al-Taj News – Czech President Petr Pavel stressed in Prague that Jordan’s strength and stability are important to Europe and the Czech Republic.
The Czech president welcomed the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, describing it as an opportunity to build on the fruitful talks held in Amman in 2024. He affirmed that Jordan is one of the closest and most reliable allies of the Czech Republic in the Middle East, and expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to achieve peace and prosperity in the region.
President Pavel highlighted the importance of cooperation between his country and Jordan in delivering humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, noting the existing cooperation between the two countries since 2013 under the “Medevac” medical program, through which Czech doctors have provided treatment and performed surgeries for thousands of Jordanians and Syrians in the Kingdom.
The Czech president expressed his country’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Jordan in the fields of defense, trade, energy, and water resource management.
