King Receives Credentials of Several Ambassadors

Al-Taj News – A ceremony for receiving the credentials of several ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries appointed to the Hashemite Royal Court was held at the Al-Zahir Basman Palace on Sunday.

His Majesty King Abdullah II received the credentials of Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates; Mohammed Zarquat, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria; Abib Musa Farah, non-resident Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia; and Nicole McHugh, Ambassador of Ireland.

His Majesty also received the credentials of Andreas Lovold, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway; Gianmarco Rizzo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium; Pier Luigi Zamborlini, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy; Yest Caridad Roman Maldonado, non-resident Ambassador of the Dominican Republic; and Isidore Ntirambepiba, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi.

Upon the ambassadors’ arrival at the Al-Zahir Basman Palace, the national anthems of Jordan and their respective countries were played.

The ambassadors laid wreaths at the tombs of the late, by God’s permission, His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal, His Majesty the Founding King Abdullah bin Al Hussein, and His Majesty King Talal bin Abdullah, may their souls rest in peace.

The ceremony was attended by Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi.
