
Al-Taj News – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with a number of missiles early Monday, considering them a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a threat to the security and stability of the region.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed the State of Kuwait’s full solidarity with Jordan, its support for the Kingdom, and its backing of all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and territorial integrity.
The Arab Republic of Egypt also condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, stressing that these attacks constitute a direct threat to the security and safety of the brotherly countries and their peoples, and pose serious risks of an expansion of the scope of the confrontation and the undermining of prospects for restoring stability in the region.
Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with Jordan and the UAE, reiterating the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and to safeguard the security and safety of navigation and freedom of movement for vessels in maritime passages and straits, in accordance with the rules of international law.
It warned of the serious repercussions of continued escalation on regional security and stability, stressing the need to halt the attacks, de-escalate, return to the negotiating table, and allow diplomatic channels to pursue solutions that contribute to restoring security and stability and sparing the region the risks of an expanded confrontation.
The United Arab Emirates had condemned, early Monday, in the strongest terms, the aggressive missile attacks targeting Jordan.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the aggressive attack constitutes a flagrant violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, expressing the UAE’s full solidarity with Jordan and its support for all measures aimed at preserving its security and stability.
The official spokesperson for the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army had stated that air defense systems intercepted, early Monday, eight missiles that penetrated the Kingdom’s airspace.
He confirmed that the Jordan Armed Forces dealt with these attacks and successfully destroyed the missiles before they posed any threat to citizens or property.
The official spokesperson explained that the interception operations were carried out based on precise operational assessments and in accordance with the national responsibility to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and safeguard the safety of citizens, in line with the applicable rules of engagement.
