Minister of Awqaf: Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Is an Occasion to Draw Inspiration from His Guidance and Uphold Values
Al-Taj News – Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites Mohammad Al-Khalayleh affirmed that the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth is an occasion to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s guidance and follow his noble Sunnah in a way that strengthens values and morals in society, adding that his birth, peace and blessings be upon him, was the birth of light and the beginning of an era that brought humanity from darkness into light.
Al-Khalayleh explained during his patronage of the ministry’s celebration of the occasion on Monday that the message of Prophet Muhammad came to establish a system of values based on justice, benevolence, and noble morals, and to build a society founded on solidarity, compassion, and empathy among its members.
He added that one of the greatest duties of the Muslim nation at the present stage is to make the Prophet’s biography a practical approach to life, follow the noble character of the Messenger, and work to spread the values of mercy and affection, assist those in need, and treat others well.
He stressed that commemorating this occasion should serve as an opportunity to introduce younger generations to the Prophet’s biography, characteristics, morals, and rights, strengthen their love for him, adhere to his message, and increase prayers and peace upon him.
The Minister of Awqaf extended his highest congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein, the Hashemite family, the Jordanian people, and the Arab and Muslim nations, praying to God to protect Jordan, its security, and its Hashemite leadership.
The celebration was attended by Chief Justice Abdul Hafez Al-Rabta, Grand Mufti of the Kingdom Ahmad Al-Hassanat, Imam of the Hashemite Court Ahmad Al-Khalayleh, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Awqaf Ismail Al-Khatib, as well as a number of secretaries-general, directors-general, Sharia judges, muftis, officers and non-commissioned officers from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies, and male and female imams and preachers. The celebration also included nasheed performances by the ministry’s ensemble.
