Al-Taj News – The Judicial Enforcement Department at the Public Security Directorate warned against signing a guarantee without knowing the legal and financial obligations arising from it, calling on citizens to verify the details of the guarantee before signing.
The department explained in an awareness message on Facebook on Sunday that merely signing as a guarantor entails a legal obligation and financial responsibility if the guaranteed person fails to fulfill the obligations incumbent upon them.
It called on citizens not to sign a guarantee out of courtesy or embarrassment, and stressed the need to read and understand its terms and inquire about the responsibilities arising from it before signing.
The Judicial Enforcement Department emphasized that being aware of one’s legal responsibilities contributes to protecting the individual from the consequences of any obligation that may arise in the future.
