French Fighter Jet Pilot Killed and Navigator Missing After Crash

Al-Taj News – A French fighter jet pilot was killed, while the navigator accompanying him remains missing, after the aircraft crashed late Tuesday during a training sortie in northeastern France, according to an announcement by the French Air and Space Force.

The fighter jet crashed in a rural area between the towns of Rogéville and Domèvre-en-Haye, northwest of the city of Nancy, in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department, at around 11:35 p.m.

Rescue teams managed to find the body of the aircraft’s pilot at the crash site, while search operations for the missing navigator are continuing, with the participation of the gendarmerie and drones.

The judicial and military authorities have opened an investigation to determine the causes of the fighter jet crash and the loss of contact with it.
