Al-Taj News –

Actress Mona Zaki put an end to the controversy surrounding her husband, actor Ahmed Helmy, being absent from the ceremony honoring her at the ninth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival. She also revealed painful details about losing 7 embryos due to an autoimmune disease, before she was able to carry her pregnancy to term and give birth to her son, Selim.

Mona Zaki said that her husband, Ahmed Helmy, was unable to attend the ceremony because he was traveling with their daughter, Lili. She denied that his absence was related to any disagreements, noting that she was surprised by her colleagues’ questions about why he had not attended.

She stressed that her husband is a source of support for her, saying that he has stood by her in many situations throughout their years of marriage. She described him as her life partner and the father of her children, emphasizing that there is no artistic competition between them and that their relationship is based on supporting one another, away from considerations of the arts and social status.
