Al-Taj News – Syrian singer Assala Nasri returned to Damascus after an absence of 15 years, in preparation for two concerts. She arrived at Damascus International Airport on Tuesday evening, accompanied by her husband, Iraqi poet Faik Hassan, her children, and several members of her family.
Assala expressed her happiness at returning to the Syrian capital, speaking about seeing the streets and old neighborhoods that she said have remained present in her memory since she left 15 years ago.
Following her arrival, Assala began artistic preparations for her two concerts, scheduled to take place on September 17 and 19 at Al-Fayhaa Stadium, where she rehearsed with her musical and performance troupe in preparation for the two dates.
Assala’s return to Damascus coincides with the first performance before an audience of songs from the “Syrian Album,” a work released by the production company on September 7 under the title “From Assala to the Syria We Love.”
