Coalition Intercepts Drone in Makkah and Announces Destruction of Aerial Targets

Al-Taj News – The official spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Pilot Turki Al-Malki, announced on Tuesday the interception and destruction of a drone in the Makkah region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Coalition had announced, on Monday, the interception and destruction of two drones in the Riyadh region, according to what the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported from Al-Malki.

The Coalition also announced, on Monday, that air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi group toward the southern region of Saudi Arabia, following its announcement on Sunday of the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile and a drone launched by the group toward the same region.

The Coalition had announced, on Sunday, the execution of a military operation described as qualitative, aimed at neutralizing vital sources that it said the Houthi group uses to support its war effort and enhance its military capabilities, particularly in the field of ballistic missiles and drones.

Al-Malki explained that the operation came in light of the continuation of attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and threatening the security of maritime navigation in the southern Red Sea, confirming that the Coalition continues to take the necessary measures to deter these attacks.
