Vance Says He and Trump Are Optimistic About the Prospect of Reaching a Deal with Iran

Al-Taj News – US Vice President JD Vance said on Monday that he and President Donald Trump are optimistic about the prospect of reaching an agreement with Iran, amid ongoing indirect negotiations with it.

Vance told reporters, “The president and I feel some degree of optimism about the chances of reaching a negotiated settlement (with Iran),” adding, “We have already made some progress, and we will see whether we can achieve more.”

US President Donald Trump had said on Monday that he is in “no rush” to decide whether he will resume fighting in Iran, according to the Axios website.

Trump added, “One way or another, we’re going to do something, but there is no rush. We have paralyzed their economy. They have no money, they have no gasoline, and their people are getting very tired of this situation.”
