Araghchi: Iran Has Received No Response from Saudi Arabia or the Houthis Regarding Mediation Initiative

Al-Taj News – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran has received no response from either Saudi Arabia or the Houthi militia in Yemen regarding its initiative to mediate between the two sides with the aim of ending the fighting, as regional tensions escalate amid Houthi attacks on the Kingdom.

Araghchi had proposed the initiative earlier in October, as the Houthis intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia. He also noted that any external intervention in the conflict would complicate matters, in response to the possibility of Egypt joining Saudi Arabia in the war against the Houthis.
