King Abdullah II Holds Meeting with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic in Prague

Al-Taj News – His Majesty King Abdullah II and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš discussed, during their meeting in Prague on Friday, ways to expand the prospects for Jordanian-Czech cooperation in a manner that serves their shared interests.

During an expanded meeting followed by a bilateral meeting, His Majesty the King stressed the importance of building on the well-established relations between the two countries and continuing to exchange expertise in vital sectors.

The meeting addressed regional developments, with His Majesty stressing the need to intensify international efforts aimed at reducing the escalation in the region and reaching sustainable solutions to crises through diplomacy and dialogue.

Speaking about the situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, His Majesty warned of the danger of Israeli measures aimed at annexing land and expanding settlements in the West Bank, as well as the continued violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of the Royal Court Alaa Al-Batayneh, Jordan’s non-resident ambassador to the Czech Republic Mohammad Al-Hindawi, and Czech Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Koutcherová.
