Miss Egypt Global Holds on to Her Title and Threatens Legal Action

Al-Taj News – Irina Yousry, Miss Egypt, announced that she is holding on to her right to represent Egypt in the season during which she participated in the Miss Global pageant, warning against any other contestant participating in her place in the same season.

Yousry said in a post on Instagram that she considers herself the official representative of Egypt in the Miss Global pageant, stressing her rejection of being replaced by another contestant and noting that she retains her legal rights and ownership rights associated with her title and official representation.

Her statement read: “I hereby declare that I am the only official Miss Egypt Global and the official representative of Egypt in my season within the Miss Global pageant. No other contestant has the right to travel or represent Egypt in my place in the same season.”

She added that any violation of this matter could expose the contestant or anyone assisting her to legal accountability, stressing that she retains all legal rights and ownership rights related to the title and official representation.

Yousry had previously announced her refusal to hand over the crown to the new queen, justifying her position by citing what she described as injustice and a lack of transparency and fairness within the pageant.

Meanwhile, the management of the Miss Egypt pageant responded to Yousry’s statements, stressing that the title she received was Miss Global Egypt, not the official Miss Egypt title, explaining that it is a qualifying title to represent Egypt in the Miss Global pageant.
