
Al-Taj News – The Jordan U-20 national football team has officially qualified for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals, scheduled to be held in China next March, after finishing second in Group D of the qualifiers with 6 points and securing a place among the seven best second-placed teams in the groups.
The national team qualified after defeating Afghanistan 1-0 and Bahrain 2-1, before losing 0-1 to Tajikistan in the final round, concluding its campaign with 6 points.
Under the qualifying system, the eight group winners qualified directly for the finals, along with the seven best second-placed teams, allowing the national team to secure its place in the upcoming continental tournament.
The U-20 national team continues its preparations for the next stage ahead of its participation in the Asian finals, which will be held in China in March 2027 and will in turn serve as a qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals.
