Al-Taj News – Iranian official media quoted Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei as saying Sunday that his country will declare a restricted zone outside the Strait of Hormuz in the coming days.
Rezaei added that the zone will begin from the U.S. maritime blockade line and extend into areas in the Gulf, and that any vessel entering the new restricted zone will be added to the sanctions list.
Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief Iranian negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Sunday that any future attacks targeting Iran’s security or interests will be met with a faster, harsher and more painful response.
Ghalibaf added that the United States has certainly realized that the era of proportionate responses “has ended,” noting that the United States must realize, before it is too late, that “the rules of the game have changed.”
He explained that new alternatives must be found to confront the economic pressures imposed by the enemy on supply chains.
The commander of Iran’s Border Guard Forces said that his forces are prepared to confront any threat or aggression, stressing that they will not allow even the slightest violation of the borders.
