Egypt Condemns Renewed Iranian Attacks on Jordan

Al-Taj News – Egypt on Monday condemned the renewed Iranian attacks targeting Jordan and the UAE, expressing deep concern over the continuation of these attacks and the direct threat they pose to the security and safety of the two countries and their peoples, as well as the risks of an expansion of the scope of the confrontation and the undermining of prospects for restoring stability in the region.

In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Egypt’s full solidarity with Jordan and the UAE, stressing the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and to safeguard the security and safety of navigation and freedom of movement for vessels in maritime passages and straits in accordance with the rules of international law.

The ministry warned of the serious repercussions of continued escalation on regional security and stability.

Egypt stressed the need to halt the attacks and de-escalate, return to the negotiating table, and provide an opportunity for diplomatic channels to reach solutions that contribute to restoring security and stability and sparing the region the risks of an expanded confrontation.
