Greater Amman Municipality Launches “Safe Return to Schools” Campaign to Promote Traffic Safety

Al-Taj News – The Greater Amman Municipality, through its Traffic Operations Department, has launched a traffic awareness campaign under the slogan “Safe Return to Schools,” coinciding with the start of the school year, with the aim of raising traffic awareness and promoting safe behavior among students, parents, teaching staff, drivers, and road users.

The campaign covers all schools in areas under the jurisdiction of the Greater Amman Municipality and targets various age and social groups through a range of awareness activities and programs focusing on compliance with traffic rules and regulations, enhancing traffic safety around schools, and the safe use of roads and pedestrian crossings.

The campaign also focuses on raising awareness about avoiding random parking in front of schools, adhering to designated speed limits, particularly in school zones, and enhancing the role of students and parents in promoting a culture of traffic safety.

The Greater Amman Municipality emphasizes that traffic safety is a shared responsibility and that everyone’s cooperation contributes to providing a safe school environment and protecting students and road users, ensuring a safer school year and a “Safe Return to Schools.”
