Source: Injury May Sideliner Yazeed Abu Laila for Two Months

Al-Taj News – A source close to the Al-Nashama national team and Al-Hussein club goalkeeper, Yazeed Abu Laila, revealed that medical examinations showed he sustained an injury that could keep him away from the pitch for approximately two months.

Abu Laila had suffered the injury during Al-Hussein’s recent match against Al-Faisaly in the Pro League, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Al-Hussein.

The source stated that medical reports indicated an adductor muscle injury for Abu Laila.

The source added that further medical examinations will be conducted in the coming days to determine whether Abu Laila will undergo surgery or physical therapy.

Abu Laila’s injury comes approximately two months before the AFC Asian Cup scheduled for early January 2027 in Saudi Arabia, raising doubts about the ability of the Al-Nashama World Cup goalkeeper to catch up with the tournament.

Abu Laila is considered one of the most prominent goalkeepers in domestic football, having started his career with Shabab Al-Ordon before representing Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein, winning several titles with them, the most recent being the domestic treble with Al-Hussein last season by securing the titles of the Pro League, Jordan Cup, and Super Cup.
