The appearance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, today, Monday, wearing the military uniform of the Royal Jordanian Air Force during the opening of the third ordinary session of the twentieth National Assembly, drew attention in light of recent military developments, particularly the operations carried out by the Royal Air Force in southern Syria and the accompanying controversy.

In this context, the military and strategic expert, Retired Brigadier General Rizk Al-Khawaldeh, explained that the Crown Prince wearing the Royal Air Force uniform is in harmony with the nature of his current military service and the protocol followed on national occasions, and does not reflect any other dimensions.

Al-Khawaldeh told “Al-Taj News” that the opening of the National Assembly is linked to national constants in the dress of the Hashemite family, as it is part of the culture associated with the trajectory of Jordanian parliamentary life.

He added that the Crown Prince’s appearance in the military uniform of the Royal Air Force comes after His Royal Highness’s transfer to service in the force during last July, following the conclusion of his service in the Special Battalion/101 belonging to the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces.

Al-Khawaldeh pointed out that the Crown Prince’s dress reflects the path of his military service and royal qualification for His Royal Highness, through becoming acquainted with various military units, granting him broad leadership efficiency among badge holders across various military units.

He confirmed that the Crown Prince’s attendance today in the Royal Air Force uniform aligns with the protocol followed on national occasions, and does not carry any other dimensions related to recent military developments.
