Al-Taj News – His Majesty King Abdullah II chaired a meeting of the National Security Council today, Saturday, during which he listened to a security briefing on the terrorist attack that targeted a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate yesterday, Friday, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of citizens and the injury of others.

His Majesty the King affirmed, during the meeting attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, that there is no room for leniency when it comes to the lives of Jordanians, reiterating his condemnation of this shameful terrorist act, which is alien to Jordan, a country of chivalry and harmony.

His Majesty stressed that the security and safety of Jordanians are a red line, affirming that the hand of justice will reach every terrorist, and that such cowardly acts have not and will not intimidate Jordan and Jordanians or undermine their national unity.

His Majesty the King directed the relevant agencies to respond firmly and strike with an iron fist against outlaws and anyone who dares to tamper with the unity of Jordanians, stressing the need to pursue and hold accountable, under the force of the law, everyone who supported or justified this act.
