Social Development: JOD 254,000 in Support for 178 Charitable Associations and Unions in Jordan

Al-Taj News – The Ministry of Social Development announced that 178 charitable and women’s associations and unions in various governorates of the Kingdom benefited from cash support for 2026, with a total value of JOD 254,000, under the Associations Aid Program.

The Ministry said, in a press statement issued on Tuesday, that it had received 359 applications for cash support, after circulating a notice at the beginning of the current year to its field directorates in various governorates to receive applications from associations and unions under its supervision, through the unified funding window of the Associations Aid Program.

The Ministry confirmed that the support provided comes within the framework of its efforts to empower the voluntary sector and strengthen its role in providing services to target groups, thereby contributing to meeting the needs of local communities efficiently and effectively.

It explained that all support applications were subject to the approved criteria and foundations, with the aim of ensuring that assistance reaches eligible associations and unions, and enhancing the impact of support in improving the services provided and ensuring their sustainability in the associations sector.
