
Al-Taj News – His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Tuesday a delegation from the French Parliament, comprising the Chairman and members of the French-Jordanian Friendship Group, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty affirmed the strength of the friendly relations between the two countries and the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields, particularly political and parliamentary cooperation.
His Majesty the King commended France’s role in hosting a new round of the Aqaba Process meetings this week, which will discuss ways to support the Lebanese Army, affirming Jordan’s keenness to maintain political coordination and consultation with France.
The meeting also discussed the latest regional developments and the need to intensify international efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that supports the achievement of security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of the King’s Office Engineer Alaa Al-Batayneh, Chairman of the Jordanian-French Parliamentary Friendship Association Dr. Ibrahim Al-Tarawneh, and French Ambassador to Jordan Franck Gellet.
