Army: Surveillance, Warning and Air Defense Systems at Highest Level of Readiness

Al-Taj News – The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army affirmed that its surveillance, warning, and air defense systems are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to deal with any threat.

It said that its units and formations continue to carry out their duties around the clock to protect the Kingdom, its security, and the sovereignty of its airspace, while continuing to monitor and assess developments in the situation.

The armed forces called on citizens not to circulate rumors and unverified information, and to rely on statements issued by official authorities as the authorized source of information.

This came after the Kingdom was subjected to a missile attack originating from Iranian territory, as Jordanian air defense systems dealt with 20 ballistic missiles launched toward Jordanian territory, successfully intercepting and destroying 18 of them, while two missiles fell in areas with no population centers, with no loss of life reported.

The armed forces continue to monitor and assess the situation and deal with the sites where shrapnel and falling debris landed, while securing them.
