Jordan Maintains Its Hajj Quota at 8,000 Pilgrims for the 2027 Season

Al-Taj News – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Mohammed Al-Tawalbeh, said Sunday that Jordan’s quota for the upcoming Hajj season has been maintained at 8,000 pilgrims.

Al-Tawalbeh added that registration has opened electronically through the Hajj and Umrah Department’s platform and will continue until September 27, noting that the conditions include that the primary registrant must have been born on or before December 31, 1980, and must not have previously performed Hajj.

Al-Tawalbeh explained that requiring the primary registrant to pay 200 dinars aims to ensure the seriousness of applicants and regulate the actual number of people wishing to perform the rituals.

Initial registration began Sunday for Jordanians and residents of the Gaza Strip residing in the Kingdom who wish to perform Hajj during the 2027 season, according to an announcement by Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites Mohammed Al-Khalayleh.

Regarding savers with the Hajj Fund, Al-Khalayleh explained that those who had completed a balance of 3,000 dinars in their accounts before January 1, 2021, are entitled to register through the fund’s website without paying any amounts upon registration.

As for a woman wishing to be accompanied by a mahram, her registration will be accepted provided that she and the mahram had completed a total of 6,000 dinars before January 1, 2021, or that the mahram is a subscriber to the fund and meets the same conditions.

He confirmed that Hajj Fund savers are not required to pay any amounts upon registration.
