
Al-Taj News – The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate confirmed that personnel from the Anti-Narcotics Department handled 112 cases across various governorates of the Kingdom during the sixth week of their intensified campaign against crystal meth.
He explained that the cases included 43 cases involving the trafficking and promotion of crystal meth, and 69 cases of use, during which 72 people involved in trafficking and promotion cases were arrested, while 121 users of the substance were arrested in the remaining cases.
He added that personnel from the department seized varying quantities of crystal meth in the possession of those arrested.
The spokesperson affirmed that the campaign will continue with full resolve and without any leniency until its objectives are achieved in raising awareness against this substance and pursuing anyone who attempts to deal with it, given the risks it poses to users and its association with the commission of crimes that threaten society and the safety of its members.
He again called on everyone to fulfill their humanitarian and social duty and not hesitate to report any information concerning any person or any information about crystal meth through the unified emergency number 911, stressing that reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness.
