False Reports Force Planes to Make Emergency Landings at European Airports

Al-Taj News – Several aircraft made emergency landings at European airports on Tuesday following bomb alerts that later proved to be false, according to announcements by the authorities of the concerned countries.

A passenger plane arriving from London made an emergency landing at Warsaw-Modlin Airport in Poland after receiving a bomb threat, forcing airport officials to close it, while another plane arriving from the Danish capital, Copenhagen, was searched at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

Modlin Airport said in a statement that it was notified in the morning of a bomb on board an aircraft flying between Heathrow Airport in London and Warsaw Chopin Airport.

It added that later in the morning, the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft landed at Warsaw-Modlin Airport, noting that its 181 passengers were evacuated. A spokesperson for Polish LOT Airlines confirmed that the aircraft belonged to the company.
