Trump on the Anniversary of September 11: We Are Facing a New Test, and Iran Will Not Obtain a Nuclear Weapon

Al-Taj News – U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that the United States will never forget the September 11 attacks, stressing that his country is today facing a new test of national security, amid the ongoing confrontation with Iran.

Trump said, in a speech delivered on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, that the United States cannot forget the “moment of evil” that the country witnessed on that day, adding that Americans are today rediscovering the identity of their country, and that they must be strong and smart.

He continued, saying: “I affirm that we will never forget what happened on September 11, and we are fighting today in fulfillment of this oath.”

The U.S. president noted that, after facing the test of the September 11 attacks, the United States is today undergoing a new test, saying that his country has proven its success in it.

Trump stressed in his speech that Iran represents, as he described it, “the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism,” affirming that Tehran will never obtain a nuclear weapon.

He said that U.S. forces are currently working to ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon.

Trump’s remarks come as the United States commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, which left nearly 3,000 people dead. Memorial ceremonies were held at the three attack sites, including a ceremony at the Pentagon attended by Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
