After disbursing 185 million dinars .. Al-Subaihi calls for raising the minimum retirement pensions

Al-Taj News – The expert in insurance and social protection, legal rights activist Musa Al-Subaihi, shed light on the significant disparity in retirement pensions for Social Security retirees in Jordan, coinciding with the Social Security Corporation transferring around 185 million dinars to retirees’ bank accounts for the current month of October, amid questions regarding the fair distribution of these amounts and the extent of their ability to provide a decent life for beneficiaries.

Al-Subaihi explained that pumping 185 million dinars monthly into the market contributes to stimulating economic activity; however, the actual value of these sums is not measured by their size alone, but by the extent to which they achieve relative insurance equity and ensure an appropriate standard of living for retirees.

He pointed out that the challenge facing the social security system is not limited to securing the liquidity necessary to disburse retirement pensions regularly, but extends to ensuring a fairer distribution, in a way that preserves the retiree’s dignity and fulfills their economic and social needs.
