
Al-Taj News – The semi-annual report on new job opportunities in the Kingdom, issued by the Department of Statistics, showed that net new job opportunities for Jordanians rose to 87,617 in 2025, the highest level in the Kingdom’s history, with Jordanians filling nearly 91 percent of these opportunities.
The report revealed that the net number of jobs created in the Jordanian labor market during the second half of 2025 reached 46,719 jobs, of which 91 percent were for Jordanians.
The report showed that 73.1 percent of net new job opportunities created during the second half of 2025 were in the private sector, while the 20–29 age group accounted for the largest share of these net new jobs, at 78.8 percent, with 36,829 opportunities.
According to the report, women accounted for half of the net new job opportunities among the total number of university degree holders, while the education sector accounted for 24.8 percent of these opportunities, followed by the public administration sector at 13.3 percent.
