Al-Taj News – Director General of the Jordan Industrial Estates Company, Mr. Adi Obeidat, briefed the Saudi Business Council today on the vision of Jordanian industrial cities for the next phase, which stems from the Kingdom’s Economic Modernization Vision. The vision focuses on moving from a real estate developer to an integrated ecosystem developer covering the fields of industry, tourism, and logistics services, in parallel with the comprehensive advancement witnessed by Jordanian industrial cities in attracting and securing industrial investments and their direct contributions to the Jordanian economy, making them a Jordanian economic model to be emulated in the region and the world.
Mr. Adi Obeidat explained to the visiting delegation, which is visiting the Jordan Industrial Estates Company on the sidelines of the meetings of the Jordanian-Saudi Business Council, that numerous partnership and investment opportunities are available to the Saudi side at various locations of the industrial cities spread across the Kingdom. These opportunities could serve as a launching base for council members to open new horizons for investment partnerships and establish joint Jordanian-Saudi projects, in addition to contributing to reconstruction and development efforts in the region.
Mr. Obeidat presented Zarqa Industrial City, which is considered the most distinguished and newest Jordanian model in the development of industrial cities. It was developed in accordance with the latest requirements to become an environmentally friendly industrial city, providing developed spaces for establishing industrial projects and distinguished by its proximity to the borders with Iraq and Saudi Arabia to the east and Syria to the north.
For his part, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Thubaiti praised the advanced level reached by Jordanian industrial cities and their role in providing an attractive and stimulating investment climate for investors, stressing that the Council seeks during the coming period to establish distinguished partnerships that contribute to creating a qualitative leap in all investment fields between the two brotherly countries.
It is worth noting that the visit of the Saudi delegation was coordinated and organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in the context of the meetings of the joint Jordanian-Saudi Business Council, which aim to consolidate cooperation between the private sectors in the two countries, exchange expertise, and explore new investment prospects that serve mutual economic interests.
