Salwa Khattab Reveals the Reason She Did Not Have Children

Al-Taj News – Egyptian actress Salwa Khattab revealed details of her relationship with her late husband, director Osama Fawzi, and the reasons for their separation after years of friendship and marriage, as well as her position on not having children, affirming that her relationship with him was a choice driven by love, and that his memories and his human and artistic standing “remain present in her life despite the end of their marriage.”

Khattab said that her relationship with Fawzi began with a friendship that lasted around 15 years, before they were married for five years. She noted that their relationship was not limited to their personal lives, but also brought them together professionally, as they produced one film together.

As for the reasons for their separation, she explained in a television interview on Monday that the relationship witnessed differences in ideas and in the way they dealt with each other, given that they both belonged to the artistic community and each had their own individuality. She noted that at that stage, she felt she had exhausted her ability to endure after many years of knowing each other, explaining that she did not want to marry after him and instead focused on her artistic work.
