Mubaidin to “Al-Taj”: The King’s speech affirms Jordanian constants and directs the government toward reform and fighting corruption
Former Minister of Government Communication, Dr. Muhannad Mubaidin, stated that the Speech from the Throne by His Majesty King Abdullah II at the opening of the ordinary session of the National Assembly represents a milestone speech that reflects the significance of the current phase and the nature of the challenges facing Jordan, carrying clear messages regarding domestic affairs, regional directions, and priority national files.
Mubaidin explained, in an interview with “Al-Taj News” today, Monday, that the Speech from the Throne reiterates Jordanian constants and provides directives related to national unity and Jordanian positions on regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, in addition to the importance of continuing the path of domestic reform, consolidating the rule of law, and combating corruption.
He added that His Majesty emphasized the necessity for the government to assume its responsibilities in resuming vital projects, particularly in the water sector, as it is one of the strategic sectors that requires maximizing the investment of water resources and defending Jordan’s water rights, ensuring the protection of these resources and preventing Jordanians from facing a thirst crisis.
Mubaidin pointed out that the speech affirmed Jordan’s commitment to a set of constants and basic rules in dealing with challenges, warning against Israeli challenges, expansion, and the aggressions taking place in the region.
He noted that His Majesty reaffirmed the rights of the Palestinian people to obtain their dignity and legitimate rights, and to confront the blatant Israeli aggression and expansionism in the region.
