Wafa Sbeih. Abu Sa’ilik to “Al-Taj”: The current stage requires the legislative and executive authorities to grasp the royal messages with “awareness”

Former minister and parliamentarian Dr. Khair Abu Sa’ilik stated that the noble Speech from the Throne constituted a national roadmap and an integrated working document that defines the state’s priorities and strategic directions, affirms a steadfast commitment to the rule of law and the protection of the internal front, and dots the i’s and crosses the t’s regarding local and regional challenges.

During his interview with “Al-Taj News,” Abu Sa’ilik pointed out that the external messages reflected the constants of Jordanian policy and its steadfast Arab positions, foremost among them the firm stance toward the Palestinian cause, and the adherence to the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state on their land.

On the domestic level, His Majesty the King emphasized the importance of continuing work along the tracks of political, economic, and administrative modernization, moving them from the level of plans and programs to tangible results whose impact is felt by the Jordanian citizen, whether in the quality of public services or in improving the standard of living.

Abu Sa’ilik said that His Majesty addressed security in its comprehensive concept, starting from the role of the Armed Forces and security agencies in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its stability, all the way to water security, strengthening the internal front, and rejecting terrorism in all its forms, considering that national security also encompasses economic, water, and food dimensions.

Abu Sa’ilik emphasized the royal focus on the economic aspect and the necessity of accelerating the implementation of major projects, stressing that the importance of these projects is not measured by the volume of spending alone, but rather by their ability to stimulate investment, create job opportunities, raise productivity, and reflect their impact on sustainable development in the health and education sectors, and improving the standard of living for citizens.

Abu Sa’ilik concluded his remarks to “Al-Taj News” by stressing that the current phase requires both the legislative and executive authorities to grasp these noble royal messages with high institutional awareness, and translate them into effective legislation, actionable policies, and competent oversight performance, ensuring the transition from managing challenges to creating opportunities, so that Jordan remains—as it has always been—an oasis of security and stability, and an active and accomplishing power based on the awareness of its people and the solidity of its institutions.
